It is a declared historical monument as it represents one of the few examples of tobacco warehouses that remain in the city of Komotini, testifying the past development of the last century and early this century, due to the processing and marketing of tobacco. The building belongs to the Technical Chamber of Thrace and can be visited on request during the evenings.
