Tamaresi Mansion (also known as Malliopoulos Mansion) was built in 1910 and is one of the classic and most representative examples of local architecture. It is one of the few mansions that still exist in Komotini, reminding the bourgeoisie at the beginning of the 20th century.
The Tamaresi Mansion was purchased and restored by the Municipality of Komotini, while it also housed the municipal library, with a collection of more than 14,000 books.
